THE GENERATION OF THE SON - THE COMMENTARY OF SAINT THOMAS AQUINAS ON THE PS 2,7
Summary
In the presentation of the subject - preceded by an Introduction, where the Aquinas is presented as Bible's Commentator - the author examines the saint Thomas' interpretations of the text Ps 2,7 regarding the theme of this research, confronted with the contemporary exegesis, and presents also two parallel commentaries of the text Hebr 1,5 and 5,5. The exposition is theological, doctrinal and biblical: the generation of the Son is spiritual, intellectual, natural and eternal. All this permits to the author to conclude that the doctrine on the generation of the Son presented by Saint Thomas in Commentary on the Ps 2,7 and parallels is very clear, rich and remains valid and topical and permits to remain in the faith and doctrine of the catholic Church.

THE TRUTH OF INCARNATION BASED ON SCHOLASTIC THEOLOGIANS. THE ATTEMPT OF A NOWADAYS RELECTURE
Summary
The God's will is unchangeable. It cannot be changed by sin, neither by people's prayers nor gifts giving for God. The Jesus' Incarnation is wanted by God even before the sin. But this thesis was not so sure, because there is no full answer to this theese in the Bible. We can try to find out the answer in the two major theological schools: tomistic's and fraciscan's. But unfortunatelly, there is a huge problem, because both of them state two very different answers. Today it is also very important question what caused the Incarnation, especially for theology. It is more proper to teach theology in a positive key, instead of thinking that all God's actions are motivated by human's sin.

SUMMARY
"Did the Angelic Doctor Underestimate Christ?" examines the role of Christology in the thought of Thomas Aquinas. At the end of the Summa Theologica, Aquinas offers a discussion of the Incarnation in which he tends toward the view that Christ would not have taken human form had man not sinned. This position gives rise to the suspicion that the Dominican treated the Incarnation too lightly; that he understood it instrumentally, merely as a means to resolve the "problem" of sin.
The author shows that the position accorded to the discussion of Christ in Aquinas's work comes out of St. Thomas' approach to Salvation History as a whole. The style of reasoning known as ex convenientia ("from suitability"), common among medieval theologians, permitted them to regard their interpretations of Salvation History as belonging to scientia in the Aristotelian sense while also allowing them to produce a balanced, two-sided analysis of every event. On the one hand, the Incarnation was deemed not absolutely necessary, since a transcendent God cannot be constrained by any one scenario. On the other hand, it was considered consistent with the logic of the divine design of love for Christ to have assumed a human nature. This bilateral analysis enabled theologians to admire the Incarnation as an act performed by God out of love, in freedom.
The influence of G.F. Hegel's metaphysics has caused the suggestion that the Incarnation was not absolutely necessary to appear suspect. Theologians inspired by the synthesis of the sage from Berlin tend to see the Incarnation as part of a necessary process. The metaphysical perspective they occupy - different from that of Aquinas - usually yields a distorted view of the medieval master. Yet St. Thomas' approach to Salvation History, in which respect for God's transcendence and appreciation for divine freedom each have a place, remains the more interesting and well-balanced proposition and should have a prominent voice in contemporary discussions

ECCLESIOLOGY OF THOMAS AQUINAS IN THE LIGHT OF ST. PAUL'S TRADITION
Summary
In the times of Thomas Aquinas the great debate was going on about the nature of the Church and therefore he did not write any ecclesiological treatise. Like other scholastics, Aquinas undertook the questions concerning the Church in the context of Christology and pneumatology since as the Body of Christ, the Church is the work of the Saviour and the Holy Spirit and this process occurs permanently. St. Paul's metaphor of the Church as "the Body of Christ" developed by another author in the Letter to the Ephesians and the Letter to the Corinthians acquires a form of a comprehensive ecclesiological synthesis in Aquinas' commentaries which encompass the genesis, nature, structure and mission of the Ecclesia. In a skilful and creative manner, Thomas makes use of the achievements of patristic theology, especially of the works of St. Augustine, alluding to medieval canonistics which was engaged in the conflict between the papacy and the empire. However, he extracts the Christological-pneumatological aspect of this unique community (especially in Expositio in Symbolum), emphasising the divine genesis of the Church and Her eschatic orientation to God (reditus creaturae rationalis ad Deum).

THEOLOGY OF TWO SPEEDS? THE PURPOSE, METHOD AND PERSPECTIVES OF ANALYTIC THEOLOGY
Summary
Recently there has been an increased interest in classical theological matters by philosophers of religion and at the same time the positive attitude of theologians towards analytical tools which have been previously regarded as some kind of "language games". It seems that contemporary theology develops at two speeds, namely as an attempt to synthetic embracing of the whole reality but also as analytical search for consistency and coherence. This is the result of a long process which overcomes the paradigm of positivist logic and creates a program of the so-called analytic theology. The main text of this movement, published in 2009, formulated the basic tasks of analytical theology which is the continuation of philosophical theology. On the one hand it voices concern for conceptual clarity and focuses on the analysis of sentences with clear theological meanings. On the other hand, some representatives of analytic theology perceive its spiritual potential. Theoretical reasoning also serves the Christian way of virtues, both moral and intellectual. Following the latest literature of the subject, the article emphasises the strengths and weaknesses of analytic theology and the challenges which arise with its presence at the theological scene of the 21st century.

SOTERIOLOGY OF MERIT AND FRIENDSHIP. SAINT THOMAS AQUINAS CONSIDERING CUR DEUS HOMO OF SAINT ANSELM
Summary
The article presents actual debate about interpretations of Aquinas´s soteriology and focus his attention particularly to two concepts, which plays important role in thomistic approach to salvation. First, is the understanding of satisfaction which received in theology of Aquinas a personalist meaning. The main topic is manifest relationship with Anselm's satisfaction and another perspective that take Thomas: juridical language can not occult his rely on friendship as principal category of his soteriological thinking. Thomas doesn't develop the latest reformation idea of satisfactio vicaria, because his perspective is the inclusion of the believer in Christ. Besides, among the motives of incarnation the satisfaction is the last one. Second, the notion of merit has a profound relational character and manifest solidarity of Christ with the member of Mystical Body. In the presentation of Thomas's thinking about Anselm theory we pay attention to the change of his attitude towards satisfactory from commentary do the Sentences to Summa Theologiae.

THE CHRISTOLOGICAL-PARTICIPATORY DYNAMICS OF WISDOM IN LIGHT OF THE SUPER PSALMOS OF ST. THOMAS AQUINAS
Summary
The cultivation of the virtues of wisdom in a person's life is one of the important issues of commentary of St. Thomas Aquinas to the book of Psalms. The prospect of reflection is not limited to the natural effort of knowledge in the light of the ultimate causes, but finds its model and source in the person of Jesus Christ. Referring to the texts Lectura super Psalmos, will be presented Thomas's Christological interpretation of the Psalms, , based on the theory of biblical meanings, but also as a way to recognize the wisdom in its participatory dynamism, which strongly affects the understanding of theology from the perspective of the history of wise contemplation and works of God. Sapiential nature of theology is its sensitivity to that what escapes a cursory observation of the world, reducing it to only to one dimension. In the centre of discussion remains the question of the nature of the "analogy of wisdom" in the writings of Aquinas, exposing the perception of wisdom as cognitio divinorum, the necessity to participate in the knowledge of God and the salvific dimension of wisdom.

THE MEDIEVAL MODELS AND THEORIES OF THE HYPOSTATIC UNION - THE BACKGROUND AND THE STRUCTURE OF SAINT THOMAS AQUINAS' CHRISTOLOGY. SUMMARY
One of the principles of the scholastic Christology was the conviction about the necessity and possibility of creating the hypostatic union's theological models. As theoretical constructions their roles were to make presenting of the new theological hypotheses easier.
As the author of this article points out, remarkable medieval attempts of showing the hypostatic union with the correct patterns could be found in the works of Peter Abelard, Saint Bonaventure and Albert the Great. These models were rarely developing their intuitions suggesting the wider perspective only. Because of that the reader learns about systematic panoramic view of the 13th century Christology in the second turn. These are the three existing in that time theories pronounced by Peter Lombard in his Sentences. They define the limits of the medieval Christological reflection and they are the basis of Aquinas' thought which by critically using the whole-part model is the most important subject of this article.

MEDIEVAL THEOLOGICAL SUMMAS AND THEIR STRUCTURE. GENOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF "THE SUMMA THEOLOGICA" BY SAINT THOMAS AQUINAS. SUMMARY
This article is a part of M.A. thesis entitled "The Foundations of Aristotelianism as a Theological locus in The Summa Theologica by Saint Thomas Aquinas. The Ontological Analysis of the Union of the Incarnated Word.". In this article the author tries to show that The Summa Theologica by Saint Thomas Aquinas was written according to an individual, original and well-considered structural idea. According to the author The Summa's Christ and incarnation mystery centred worldview gives to Neoplatonic exitus-reditus scheme that was used in The Summa and other medieval theological compendiums (thanks to reditus per Christum) the Christophoric nature. In addition, it gives to the entirety of the Aquinas' concept the incarnation and Christ centred dynamic.
